Special cell to deal with terror financing

August 16-31, 2011

The Government of India has constituted a separate cell for combating of funding of terrorists (CFT Cell) in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Further, MHA has also constituted a Terror Funding and Fake Currency Cell (TFFC) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to focus on terror funding and fake currency cases.

The TFFC will look into all aspects of terrorist funding including the flow of information related to cross border terror funding, according to the Minister of State for Home, Jitendra Singh.
