Raytheon wins Tomahawk missiles deal

Issue No. 12 | June 16-30, 2012

Raytheon is being awarded a $338 million firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 361 Tomahawk block IV all-up-round missiles for the Navy. The missile is capable of launch from surface ships equipped with the vertical launch system (VLS) and submarines equipped with the capsule launch system (CLS).

This effort provides for the procurement of 238 VLS missiles and 123 CLS missiles. Work is expected to be completed in August 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
