TCS wins radio order from US Army WIN-T

Issue No. 20 | October 16-31, 2013

Ultra Electronics, TCS has received a multimillion award from US Army Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) for Ultra Orion GRC-245C radio systems. These will address terrestrial transmission requirements of the tactical network modernisation for Army Expeditionary Signal Battalions (ESB) to allow soldiers to seamlessly communicate between WIN-T increments and across echelons.

The GRC-245C radio is a high capacity, multi-channel, multi-band, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint radio system with on-the-move capabilities. It is able to effectively link the various WIN-T increments while simultaneously provide sufficiently high-capacity throughput to support the Army’s transport convergence objectives.

Part of the Ultra Electronics Group, TCS provides advanced C4ISR and EW systems for ground, airborne and naval applications around the globe. Ultra Electronics, TCS is headquartered in Montreal, Canada with facilities in Ottawa and the United States.
