Rear Admiral Narayan Prasad takes over as Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam

Rear Admiral Narayan Prasad, NM assumed charge as the Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam on July 28, 2016. The Admiral was commissioned into the Indian Navy on July 1, 1983. The Admiral is an alumnus of IAT, Pune and Naval War College.

The Flag Officer in his career spanning 33 years has served the Navy in various appointments such as Commissioning Engineer Officer of INS Talwar, Fleet Engineer Officer (Eastern Fleet), AGM (Production) and General Manager (Refits) at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam. The Flag Officer has also served at IHQ MoD (Navy) as PDSP and as Command Engineer Officer at Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command.

On promotion to the Flag rank, the Admiral was appointed as Project Director (Propulsion and Engineering Systems) at Headquarters, ATV Project followed by Chief Staff Officer (Technical) at Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command, prior to taking over duties of Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam.
