BEL pays 174 Crore Interim Dividend to Government of India

M.V. Gowtama, Chairman & Managing Director, BEL, presenting the interim dividend cheque of 174,43,63,569.20/- (Rupees One Hundred Seventy-four Crores Forty-Three Lakhs Sixty-three Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-nine and Twenty Paise only), payable on the shares held by the President of India, to the honorable Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, at New Delhi on March 12, 2020. Also present are Raj Kumar, Secretary (Defence Production), and Dr Amit Sahai, Joint Secretary (P&C).

Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, has paid interim dividend of 140 per cent on its paid-up capital to the Government of India for financial year 2019-20.

Gowtama, Chairman & Managing Director, BEL, presented the interim dividend cheque of 174,43,63,569.20/- (Rupees One Hundred Seventy-four Crores Forty-Three Lacs Sixty-three Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-nine and Twenty Paise only), payable on the shares held by the President of India, to the honorable Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, at New Delhi on March 12, 2020. BEL has declared 140 per cent as Interim Dividend (1.40/- per share) to its shareholders for the financial year 2019-20.

This is the 16th consecutive year that BEL is paying Interim Dividend. BEL has paid a total dividend of 340 per cent on its paid up capital for the financial year 2018-19.
