Indian Army Organises National Integration Tour for Youth Ambassadors of Remote Areas of Dras, Ladakh

Forever in Operations Division of Fire & Fury Corps of the Indian Army in its commitment towards Nation Building efforts for integrating youth of Ladakh with main stream, flagged-off a comprehensive 'National Integration Tour' under Operation Sadbhavana for 15 students hailing from serene and remote villages of Dras.

The 'National Integration Tour' was flagged off by Brig Sumeet Abrol, Commander 56 Mountain Brigade from the Epitome of Sacrifice, 'Kargil War Memorial' on October 25, 2024. The tour will enrich the children with patriotism, enhanced exposure to premier educational institutes, scientific developments, understanding of our country's diverse cultures, traditions & customs. The tour is aimed at giving them lifelong memories to cherish, positively impacting their social, personal & educational aspects of life. The students will explore beautiful cities of Jammu, Delhi and Jaipur. Along the tour, the students will be visiting various Army establishments and interact with Senior Military Officers.

With Jammu as the first leg of their tour, students will pay homage to the fallen gallant heroes at Balidan Stambh and visit the premier educational institute IIT, Jammu. Subsequently in second phase, they will explore the stunning architecture in National Capital Delhi and visit historical landmarks - India Gate, Old and New Parliament and Rashtrapati Bhawan. The youth will have the rare privilege to meet and interact with the Hon'ble President of India, Draupadi Murmu. The visit to Nehru Planetarium will provide them a sneak into our universe & scientific prowess of our Nation.

During the last phase of the tour, the students will visit Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal and Albert Hall in Pink City, Jaipur. The young minds during the visit to Jantar Mantar will interact with epic machines related to Astro-physics. The students being from fringe areas will also have a taste of Rajasthani cuisine and glimpse of Rajasthani culture at Chokhi Dhani. To witness India's developing infrastructure and robust growth they will be travelling in Vande Bharat and Delhi Metro rail, in addition to visiting malls to witness the cosmopolitan life in metro cities.

The entire event is more than an educational trip towards making more aware, responsible, confident and patriotic citizens who will contribute to the growth of the region & nation. The Indian Army continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of India by bridging the gap among the youth of remote areas with other parts of Bharat.
