“Cooperation with Germany is courageous and important, both security-wise and no less politically.”
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Chairman and former Israeli Minister of Defense, Amir Peretz, together with the head of Israel’s Homa Directorate and the head of the UAV Directorate at the Israel’s Ministry of Defense Directorate of Defense Research & Development, hosted German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at Israel Aerospace Industries’ Pavilion at the ILA Berlin exhibition. The Chancellor was impressed by the Arrow system that Germany is procuring, in what is the largest defense deal in Israel's history.
The Chancellor’s entourage was accompanied by Moshe Patel – head of the Homa Directorate at Israel’s Ministry of Defense; the head of the UAV Directorate at the Israel’s Ministry of Defense Directorate of Defense Research & Development; Col. R’ – head of the High-Altitude Section in the Homa Directorate; Hodi Lahav – IAI’s VP Marketing; Shai Gal – IAI’s VP of External and Government Relations; and Gili May – IAI Germany Managing Director.
IAI’s Chairman, Amir Peretz: “cooperation with Germany is courageous and important, both security-wise and no less politically, and IAI is proud to be part of the strong bond of this relationship. Precisely at this time, and in particular following the events of April 14th, in which IAI demonstrated its ability to protect Israel’s citizens against a massive missile attack launched against it, the world has learned that we can provide the maximum protection against the severest of threats, and the citizens of Israel have good reason to be proud. We continue to do everything possible and beyond that to maintain Israel’s security, and that of our friends around the world.”
Moshe Patel, head of the Homa Directorate in Israel’s Ministry of Defense Directorate of Defense Research & Development: “Israel’s Ministry of Defense continues tirelessly to promote security and strategic relations with our friends around the world, of which Germany is a prime example. We showed the Chancellor the progress made in implementing the deal to supply the Arrow-3 system and are determined to meet the joint goals we have set for ourselves.”
