The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the security situation including left-wing extremism (LWE) in the state of Chhattisgarh. Singh asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to coordinate and integrate efforts escalating its involvement in tackling LWE in the affected states.
Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State (Home), and representatives of the Planning Commission, Intelligence and Security agencies, Department of Telecommunication, Ministry of Surface Transport, Ministry of Environment and Forest were present during the meeting.
