DoD shares information with contractors
The US Department of Defense (DoD) has launched a programme that shares cyber-threat information with defence contractors and their network provider. In its pilot programme, the DoD found “hundreds of intrusions” and has had them stopped.
The DoD soon plans to expand its Defense Industrial Base (DIB) experimental programme—which currently has 20 participants—to the remainder of the industry base, as well as “key areas of critical infrastructure,” Deputy Secretary of Defense William J. Lynn has said.
