Curtiss-Wright today announced the expansion of its Bangalore, India Shot Peening facility with the addition of advanced thermal spray services, including plasma, HVOF and flame spray processes, materials testing and analysis, and engineering support. The expansion will provide aerospace, defense, power generation, automotive, and industrial customers in India access to Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies' extensive surface-engineering expertise.
"Our further expansion into India represents an important step in strengthening our ability to support customers in this rapidly growing region," said Ray Lopuc, Senior Vice President and Division Lead, Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies. "We are bringing more than a century of engineering experience and customer support, an extensive portfolio of industry and OEM approvals, and a problem-solving approach that extends well beyond providing off-the-shelf services."
The India facility is AS9100 Rev D certified for its thermal spray process, with a Nadcap thermal spray accreditation audit scheduled for November 2026. The vast portfolio of specifications and accreditations Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies maintains allows the company to support demanding applications while maintaining the quality, consistency, and technical rigor required by leading OEMs and their supply chains.
"Our customers often come to us with challenges that cannot be solved through a standard coating or predetermined process," Lopuc added. "We work collaboratively with their engineering teams to understand the application, identify the root cause of the problem, and develop a solution designed around the component's specific performance requirements. We are not simply a service provider; we are an engineering partner."
