National Divyang Empowerment Centre (NCDE) at Group Centre, CRPF, Jawahar Nagar is set to emerge as the para-sports and games hub with its ecosystem getting thrust from its partnership with Boeing.
The NCDE was established in 2020 to support the Divyangs of the Force, who are currently being trained in archery and shooting. These Athletes continue to deliver sweeping performances in para-sporting events, securing the highest medal tallies at state, national, and international tournaments. In due recognition of their indomitable spirit, Boeing India has joined hands to provide sporting equipment, sports medicine, global level coaches, nutritionists, and other support services to enable CRPF Divyangs to participate competitively on the world stage and bring global glory to the nation. This initiative will be implemented by Boeing's CSR partner Sahyog Care For You.
Boeing's efforts for the cause of para-sportspersons will go a long way in strengthening sports infrastructure, and inclusivity, making a visible impact on global level events.
Speaking on the occasion, G P Singh, IPS, Director General, CRPF has thanked Sh Salil Gupte, President, Boeing India and South Asia, for extending this Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to NCDE Divyangs. The DG also appreciated Boeing's initiatives in education, skill development, and in helping augment Divyang sports infrastructure expressing confidence that it will go a long way in bringing international fame to Indian para-sports.

We look forward to seeing these individuals celebrated at global and national competitive events."
In addition, the DG also expressed deep satisfaction about para-sporting performance of Divyang warriors of NCDE and assured that all out efforts will be made by the Directorate to make Divyangs life better. The Divyangs are being provided with state of the art modern prosthetics to enhance their range of mobility, alongside better training infrastructure as both a sports promotion drive and a welfare measure. He added that the NCDE will become the future Centre of Excellence for all Central para military Force well as for various state police forces. A comprehensive policy is in its final stages for approval to include more training modules in the NCDE curriculum. The Centre is not merely about rehabilitation; it will empower Divyangs to lead a larger and more constructive engagement in the services of nation in the coming years.
The DG also took an opportunity to thank the NGO, 'Sahyog Care For You, the implementation partner for translating the vision of Sports for Change into action on the ground.
Praveena Yagnambhat, Chief of Staff, Government Engagement and CSR Head, Boeing India and South Asia made repeated visits to NCDE for assessing critical requirements, before mobilizing resources for Divyang empowerment.
The NGO, 'Sahyog Care For You', worked out a robust support mechanism for the Centre to provide guidance and a clear way forward to nurture sporting abilities, strengthen infrastructure, and promote a competitive spirit for excellence in para-sports. The focus is to harness the inner strength and innate capabilities of trained armed force personnel, helping them reinvent themselves to excel in sports.
As Boeing joined hands to strengthen the ecosystem, we are confident that this initiative will further enhance the medal tally and global ranking of the teams participating from India in the international games.
