Embraer Defense & Security is attending the 47th edition of ARSAG (Aerial Refueling Systems Advisory Group) conference, which takes place from April 29 to May 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada. ARSAG brings together the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army with NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and Allies from 20 nations to promote best practices and the safety of joint military operations and aerial refueling systems.
Opening this year's event, Bosco da Costa Junior, President & CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, joined the Senior Industry Panel Discussion, which was moderated by USAF Retired Lieutenant General John B. Sams, Jr., ARSAG Board Chairman, Chief Operating Officer, along with Richard J. Sullivan, Vice-President of Growth, Growth & Strategy, Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems.
Additionally, one KC-390 Millennium operated by the Brazilian Air Force is on display at the Atlantic Aviation FBO, located at the Harry Reid International Airport.
"We're very happy to participate at ARSAG this year and for the opportunity to address how Embraer and the KC-390 Millennium are ready to support the U.S. Department of Defense to overcome some of the critical air refueling challenges facing the U.S. and allied partner nations worldwide," said President and CEO Bosco da Costa Junior. "The KC-390 is currently the best aircraft in its category, being able to perform the most demanding missions under the most difficult scenarios, including Aerial Refueling and Agile Combat Employment. That is why we are confident that the KC-390 fits the needs of the U.S. Armed Forces."
The KC-390 Millennium is a medium airlifter and tanker designed and built in the 21st century and the best aircraft currently operating in this category – a multi-mission jet by design that offers greater performance and better productivity with low operational costs. This means multi-mission capability and interoperability are built-in by design, enabling the aircraft to be ready for all mission profiles from delivery to Air Forces.
Embraer's KC-390 Millennium is quickly becoming the aircraft of choice among NATO members and allies in Europe, contributing to the modernization of their armed forces while adding new capabilities and enhancing interoperability with allied forces. The KC-390 is already in operation with Brazil, Portugal, and Hungary, and has already been ordered by the Netherlands, Austria, and Czech Republic, in addition to Sweden and Slovakia, both of which recently selected the aircraft. South Korea completes the growing list of nations that have opted for the KC-390.
The KC-390 Millennium is currently in production and has been in operation for many years at Full Operational Capability. It is an off-the-shelf platform that is available today and ready to provide affordable mass for the U.S. and global markets to deal with emerging threats.
